카이스트 김병윤 교수, OSA Board of Directors 선출 (Director-at-Large)
: 카이스트 김병윤 교수(한국광학회 제18대 회장)가 OSA의 Director-at-Large 로 선출되었다. 임기는 2012년 1월부터 2014년 12월까지 3년이다.
Optical Society members have elected Philip H. Bucksbaum of Stanford University as the Society's 2012 Vice President. Bucksbaum's four-year term will include service as President Elect in 2013, OSA President in 2014, and Immediate Past President in 2014. Three Directors at Large were also elected: James D. Kafka of Spectra-Physics, Byoung Yoon Kim of KAIST, and Jun Ye of NIST/University of Colorado. They will serve three-year terms on the OSA Board of Directors beginning 1 January 2012 and concluding 31 December 2014. The election opened on 5 July 2011 and ended on 23 September 2011.
